Man seriously injured at pub

POLICE have released pictures of two men wanted in connection with a serious assault at a Downend pub.

Officers say a 26-year-old man suffered serious head injuries in a “large disorder” in the back garden of the Horseshoe in Downend Road, at about 9pm last Christmas Eve.

A police spokesperson added: “He has now been discharged from hospital to recover at home.”

Two men, aged 24 and 23, have been arrested in connection with the investigation and released on bail as further enquiries take place.

The CCTV pictures from the pub show two other men police want to identify in connection with the incident.
