CHILDREN from Christ Church Infant and Junior schools in Downend performed at a dance showcase attended by their classmates and teachers.
Children of all ages performed at the annual LTD Dance show at St Michael’s Centre in Stoke Gifford at the end of November.
The Christ Church pupils started dancing with LTD creator and dance instructor Karen Davis, who runs classes at the school.
Karen said: “I’m so proud of our pupils.
“Many of our performers are from CCI and CCJ, and started dancing with me in their first year at CCI in Reception.
“To see children who started dancing with LTD in Early Years, through the juniors and now in secondary school is wonderful.
“It’s not just seeing their dance skills develop, it’s seeing their self-belief and friendships grow along the way.
“I’m so blessed that I am able to run LTD classes at both schools, where my own children grew up.
“The staff support everyone who walks through the doors and sometimes we even get them dancing too!
“It really feels like a family, where everyone is included and I’m extremely proud and thankful to be part of it.”
Christ Church Infants head teacher Anna Martin said: “The audience and the children’s head teachers were absolutely blown away by the performances.
“The children showed courage and danced with confidence in front of a huge audience, and it is clear to see the impact that Karen and her dance family has on these lucky children.
“We are so grateful to have Karen at our schools and she really does make a difference to so many lives.”
