FORMER Downend resident Rich Carpenter will be running the Bristol Half Marathon and the Bristol 10K back-to-back.
Rich, who now lives in the city centre, is taking on the double challenge on May 10 for St Peter’s Hospice, in memory of his partner Sophie Bolton.
Sophie died of bowel cancer in 2022 and spent three months at St Peter’s Hospice in Brentry receiving end-of-life care.
Rich, who is retired after a career in marketing, said: “Sophie wouldn’t tolerate me doing it in anything less than three hours, so that’s the plan!”
