Heathfest celebrates community spirit

AROUND 1,500 people enjoyed a “fantastic day filled with entertainment, music and community spirit” in Bromley Heath Park.

Heathfest 2026 on June 20 also raised around £1,500 to help fund improvements to the park, and the replacement of a bench which was damaged by vandals.

The main stage featured musical performances from the Bromley Heath Choir, Maria and the Wilds, the Frampton Shantymen, Kris Nock’s Big Band and Freeze, while elsewhere there were inflatables and fairground rides, sports activities and a huge range of stalls, selling everything from food and drink to locally-grown plants, and showcasing local organisations.

A brief sprinkling of rain didn’t put off visitors, who had picnics on the field and met up with friends and neighbours through the day.

The event was run by an organising committee of seven residents, backed by a small team of volunteers helping out on the gate and around the site.

The committee said: “We would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who attended this year’s Heathfest, helping to make it a truly memorable and successful community event.

“Around 1,500 local residents, families and friends came together to enjoy a fantastic day filled with entertainment, music and community spirit.

“The wonderful atmosphere throughout the day demonstrated exactly what makes Bromley Heath such a special place to live.

“Importantly, proceeds raised from the festival will be donated to local charities and good causes, ensuring that the positive impact of Heathfest continues long after the event itself.”

The Heathfest Committee thanked the volunteers, performers, stallholders, sponsors including CJ Hole and supporters who contributed to the festival’s success.

The committee is now looking for new volunteers to help organise next year’s Heathfest.

They said: “Without additional support, the future of the festival could be at risk. Whether you can spare a few hours throughout the year or take on a more active role, every contribution makes a difference.”
