Downend & Bromley Heath Parish Council is looking forward to Christmas this year as there will be four  Christmas trees, all with Twinkly lights. Not only will there be the usual trees outside The Horseshoe and by the roundabout in the centre of Downend, but there will also be trees at Cleeve Wood Road shops and along Bromley Heath Road.

Friday 24th November is the date the lights will be switched on…

• 5.30pm: The Salvation Army Band will be playing Christmas Carols around the tree by the Horseshoe Pub

• 6pm: Christmas tree lights will be switched on

Many of the shops and businesses will join in the festivities. Once again, there will be a competition for The Best Dressed Christmas Window. The 2022 winner was Bride at Home. The windows will be judged during the week leading up to the event and the winner will be announced at the switch on event itself. We are very much looking forward to seeing many interesting and creative displays!

Please come along and join in the festivities!
