BROMLEY Heath’s community festival, Heathfest, will return this summer at an earlier date.
The one-day event at Bromley Heath Park and playing fields is set to take place on Saturday, June 20.
Last year saw Heathfest staged for the first time since 2019.
More than 1,500 people came out on one of the hottest days of the year, in mid-July, to enjoy live music, games, fairground rides and a variety of stalls.
The volunteer-run event raised more than £2,000 for local charities last year, with donations being made to re-homing charity Dog Friends, Young Carers Bristol & South Gloucestershire, St Peter’s Hospice and RAF Air Cadets Frampton Cotterell.
This year’s event will again include musical entertainment from local performers, and family-friendly activities.
Heathfest volunteer Jemma Bateman said this year’s festival will be a “fun-filled day for all ages”.
She said: “Attendees can explore a wide variety of stalls featuring crafts, local businesses, a range of food and drink, offering something for every taste and interest.
“Adding to the festive atmosphere, there will be a selection of fairground rides and a live stage, which will showcase a line-up of local artists performing across the day.
“From music to community performances, the stage will celebrate the rich talent and creativity within the local area.
“Heathfest continues to be a cornerstone community event, bringing people together for a day of entertainment, connection, and celebration in the heart of Bromley Heath.
“Beyond providing a great day out, the festival also supports important causes – last year, Heathfest raised over £2,000 for local charities, and we are hopeful for similar success again this year.”
Tickets are already on sale online at ticketlab.app/series/2613 and via the Heathfest Facebook page, where details of acts and attractions are also being announced.
The first performers to be confirmed are singing group the Frampton Shantymen.
The festival will open at 11.30am and run until 7pm.
